Effective January 1, 2016, insurers will be offering a discount for drivers who install winter tires in Ontario.
While the criteria for the discount may vary slightly depending on the insurer, the following conditions must be met to get the discount:
- Vehicle must be equipped with 4 winter tires
- Tires must be winter tires and not all season tires
- Tires must be on the vehicle from November to April
- Tires may not be left on the vehicle all year
